The Faculty of Retraining and Advanced Training is a structural subdivision of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and directly carries out activities for retraining and advanced training.

The main tasks of the faculty:

planning, organization and control of the process of retraining and advanced training, coordination of work on the introduction of advanced pedagogical and innovative technologies into this process;

coordination and systematic control of activities for retraining and advanced training of students, analysis of the level of quality and effectiveness of retraining and advanced training of students;

implementation of systemic measures aimed at the formation of professional knowledge and the necessary practical skills for retraining and advanced training of students;

ensuring the organization of a comprehensive system of retraining and advanced training aimed at the formation and strengthening of a high sense of justice and responsibility for ensuring systematic analysis and critical thinking among employees of the competent state bodies and prosecution authorities.

Professional retraining and advanced training at the Academy is carried out according to the following programs:

professional retraining courses in the form of compulsory primary specialization lasting at least 576 hours - for employees hired for the first time in the service of authorized state bodies and appointed to the positions of an  inquirer or investigator, as well as employees hired for the first time in the service of the prosecutor's office;

professional retraining courses for senior personnel lasting at least 576 hours - for personnel who are in the reserve for filling senior positions in the prosecutor's office;

professional retraining courses lasting at least 288 hours - for employees of authorized state bodies for the purpose of appointment to the positions of an inquirer or investigator;

advanced training courses lasting at least 144 hours - for employees of departments of inquiry and investigation of authorized state bodies, as well as employees of prosecutors at all levels (at least once every three years).

training and retraining courses for employees of state bodies and other organizations on the basis of special educational programs in the field of combating corruption and legalization of proceeds from crime.
