Priority tasks

In the field of determining measures aimed at strengthening scientific potential, research activities, as well as coordinating the research work of other structural units:

  • formation of a base of research topics;
  • conducting research on current legal issues and coordinating activities to study foreign experience in this field;
  • coordination of activities for the publication of scientific developments by academic staff and students of the Academy, jointly with departments, centers, and departments;
  • provision of methodological support to departments in conducting research work, jointly with departments and centers;
  • assistance in organizing scientific events;
  • constant monitoring of the state of the Academy's scientific potential;
  • development of proposals aimed at improving the activities of the Scientific Council of the Academy, and others.

Activities in the field of scientific personnel training:

  • organizing the process of admission to basic doctoral studies, doctoral studies, and independent research;
  • monitoring the implementation of research work by doctoral students and independent researchers according to the approved plan;
  • organizing the procedure for taking qualification exams by doctoral students and independent researchers;
  • participating in the production of monitoring the effectiveness and quality of research conducted by doctoral students and independent researchers, and others.

In the field of monitoring the implementation of fundamental, practical, research and innovative projects within scientific and technical state programs:

  • creating a temporary scientific team to carry out fundamental, practical, and innovative research in scientific and technical programs;
  • conducting control over the implementation of scientific projects implemented within state scientific and technical programs in the Academy;
  • coordinating reports on the implementation of fundamental, practical, and innovative research within scientific and technical programs and preparing them for discussion at the Academy Council;
  • monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of conducted scientific research within state scientific and technical programs and providing analytical reports on their outcomes to the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and others.

Individuals who are being enrolled as independent candidates for the academic degree of Doctor of Science (DSc) must meet the following requirements:

  • have a scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or other equivalent scientific degrees obtained in foreign countries;
  • have significant scientific achievements after obtaining the scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or other equivalent scientific degrees obtained in foreign countries, including at least three scientific articles published in scientific journals and at least two abstracts in collections of scientific and scientific-practical conferences, or in other collections of scientific works in relevant scientific fields, which can form the basis of the dissertation research for the academic degree of Doctor of Science (DSc).
