The scientific activity of the Academy is carried out for the purpose of scientific, information-analytical and scientific-methodological support for the activities of the prosecutor's office and is an independent activity of the Academy, and also acts as part of the training of masters and scientific personnel. The main tasks of the scientific activity of the Academy are:

- conducting fundamental and applied scientific research; implementation of the results of scientific research in the practical activities of the prosecutor's office and the educational process;

- legal and scientific and methodological support for the activities of the prosecutor's office.

In order to coordinate the scientific activities of the Academy, as well as the implementation of other tasks in this area, the Scientific Council of the Academy is formed. The activity of the Scientific Council of the Academy is regulated by the regulations approved by the Council of the Academy.

By the Decree of the Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 132 dated May 30, 2018 “On the establishment of a scientific council for the award of a scientific degree”, the composition of the scientific council at the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the amount of 11 people was approved, awarding scientific degrees of Doctor of Science (DSc ) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with the issuance of permission to defend dissertations to obtain a degree in the specialty “Judicial power. Prosecutor supervision. Organization of law enforcement activities. Advocacy”.
