Department of international law and human rights protection

The Department of International Law and Human Rights Protection promotes educational, research, analytical, and spiritual-enlightenment activities.

The department brings together scholars and practitioners with experience in protecting rights and serving the state.

Educational pursuits

The department ensures the provision of bachelor's, master's, and professional development courses for the staff of legal and regulatory bodies at all stages of the educational process.

The following subjects are taught within the framework of the master's program:

  • System for the Protection of International Human Rights
  • National System for the Protection of Human Rights
  • Children's Rights
  • International Criminal Law
  • Personal Data Protection Law
  • Combating Violence against Women

The department has established the first and only master's program in "International Human Rights" in Uzbekistan. This master's program, which is oriented towards practical activities, is part of the joint project of the Tashkent State Law University, the Institute of Judicial Administration, and the National Center for Human Rights in Uzbekistan.

The department aligns the activities of Uzbekistan's legal universities consortium on human rights.

The faculty members use innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning, clinical education, blended learning, the Socratic method, simulation, and other modern teaching technologies to teach International Public Law and Human Rights Law.

The curriculum for protection agency personnel includes courses on gender equality, combating violence against women and children, ensuring economic, social, and civil rights, fair trial rights, protection of victims of crime, and other related topics.

Research Activities

The research interests of the department's staff include ensuring and protecting human rights, international crimes, terrorism, corruption, combating human trafficking, and other relevant fields.

Regular scientific seminars, roundtable discussions, and conferences are held at the department. Its staff actively participates in international, national, academic, and educational projects.

The department prepares specialists and doctoral candidates in the field of international human rights and contributes to the activities of dissertation councils. Its members serve as editors of journals, publish the results of their research activities, and contribute to the activities of specialized professional associations.

Associate Professor of the Department of International Law and Human Rights Protection, Doctor of Juridical Sciences (DSс).

She defended her doctoral (DSс) dissertation on the topic "Issues of the Obligations and Responsibilities of Parties in Insurance Contracts" within the specialty "12.00.03 - Civil Law. Business Law. Family Law. International Private Law" at the scientific council of the Military-Technical Institute of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the number dsc.30.08.2018.yu.74.01.

M.A. Aminjonova's contributions to the field of law and academia, both in prosecutorial organizations and in the field of science, were highly praised. In 2012, she was awarded the "Shuhrat" Medal based on the decree PF-4468 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 27, 2012. She has also been honored with the insignia of "25th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan," "25th Anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan," and "30th Anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

Her total work experience is 36 years, with 22 years of experience in research and pedagogy. She has 22 years of teaching experience at higher education institutions.

Furthermore, in 2022-2023, M. Aminjonova served as the head of the Scientific and Technical Council on "Legal Sciences" at the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. She actively participated in evaluating the innovative goals of new projects, initiatives, and researchers carried out in our Republic from a scientific and practical perspective.

To date, M.A. Aminjonova has published more than 100 educational-methodological and scientific works, including 2 textbooks, 2 teaching manuals, 1 educational-methodological manual, 1 methodological manual (as an author), 2 monographs, and 1 practical manual.

 

Borsiyeva Zamira Khasanbekovna

Associate Professor of the Department of International Law and Human Rights Protection.

She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation on the topic "The Role of Prosecution Bodies in Implementing the State's Anti-Corruption Policy." She has made significant contributions to academic research, publishing over 45 scientific articles, 1 monograph, and 3 practical and methodological manuals.

Her publications cover various topics such as "International Law," "Human Rights," "International Organization Law," "Medical Law," and "International Criminal Law." Additionally, she has collaborated with international experts to develop textbooks on "Children's Rights" and "Human Rights for Law Enforcement Agencies."

 

Yesemuratov Alisher Izbasarovich

Lecturer at the Department of International Law and Human Rights Protection.

As an independent researcher, A.I. Esemuratov is currently working on his PhD dissertation on the topic "International Cooperation between Human Rights Protection Organizations in Safeguarding the Rights of Migrants." He has already published more than 10 scientific articles in the field of law.
