PURPOSE OF THE DEPARTMENT

The purpose of the department is to prepare personnel for future service activities in the field of inquiry and investigative activities for law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the formation and development of their knowledge, skills and qualifications in the field of professional combat and physical training.

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT

The main tasks of the department:

participation in the educational process in the subjects of military and physical training and conducting educational-methodical, educational-practical, research work, conducting classes in these subjects and training modules;

the use of modern pedagogical and information and communication technologies for training, the possibility of distance learning, relying on the practical nature of training, providing an inextricable link with the professional activities of the prosecutor's office and other law enforcement agencies, using interactive, applied and problem-situational methods aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of students , including with the aim of forming their system analysis and critical thinking in military and physical training;

development on the basis of a modular system in related areas of various educational and methodological complexes, including curricula, working curricula, handouts, problem situations, cases, abstract questions, open, closed and other forms of tests;

participation in the educational process and undergraduate studies in modules assigned to the department, conducting all types of training (lectures, seminars, practical classes, self-study, including distance learning), including open classes in accordance with approved curricula and programs , as well as the class schedule and other internal documents;

ensuring the formation and regular updating of the base of legal documents, orders of the Prosecutor General and decisions of the Collegium of the Prosecutor General in the field of military and physical training;

scientific and methodological support on a systematic basis for the activities of the prosecution authorities, conducting fundamental, practical and innovative research, ensuring the rule of law, strengthening the rule of law, protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, legally protected interests of society and the state, crime prevention, participation in research programs and projects implemented by the Academy;

participation in fundamental, scientific research in relevant areas and problems, preparation of educational, teaching, methodological, teaching and practical aids;

participation in the examination of research works carried out in relevant areas, preparation of conclusions, recommendations and reviews on them;

organizing and conducting, together with the relevant faculty and current employees (military personnel), various master classes, practical, demonstration classes and other events in order to ensure a close connection between theory and practice in the activities of the prosecutor's office, other law enforcement agencies and power structure, formation of necessary skills and knowledge among students;

organizing interaction with similar departments of other educational and scientific institutions, studying the experience of the best teachers and ensuring the exchange of documents on improving the current legislation in the field and the educational process.

In accordance with the law, other tasks may be assigned to the department.

 

MODULES CONDUCTED BY THE DEPARTMENT

The department conducts the following modules:

“Military-patriotic training” - includes subjects on “Spiritual and educational training”, “General military charters and drill training”, “Tactical training”, “Fire training”, “Military topography”, “Engineering training”, “Civil protection” and “Physical training”;

“Fundamentals of first aid and valeology”.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES BY MODULES

Upon completion of the modules, students should:

know the Defense Policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Defense Doctrine, the General Military Regulations of the Armed Forces and their essence; firearms and special means available in law enforcement agencies; fundamentals of modern combined arms combat; professionally oriented practical physical training physical culture and sports means, ways and methods of development of physical qualities;

have the skills of relationships between military personnel (employees); organization of actions of individual servicemen and subunits with weapons in combat conditions, control of subunits in the performance of a combat mission; use of various hand-to-hand combat techniques; providing first aid and applying its methods in practice;

to be able, on the basis of the knowledge gained within the framework of the modules, to effectively apply tactics in practice, as well as firearms and special means available in law enforcement agencies; apply skills in physical improvement and use various capture methods, etc.

 

ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT

As part of the educational and educational-methodical activities, the faculty of the department developed and published the textbook “Military service training”, “Fire training”, “Fundamentals of Sambo”, “Hand-to-hand combat”, “Weapons of mass destruction and its damaging factors”, “Basketball”, “Hand-to-Hand Combat Techniques” and “Military Topography”, as well as several other brochures, educational and educational-methodical manuals.

Curricula and programs are developed, lectures and practical classes are held. At present, in this direction, effective interaction has been established with the authorities, departments and educational institutions of the ministries of defense, internal affairs and the National Guard, together with their employees (military personnel) and specialists, various master classes, practical exercises, exhibitions, meetings and round tables.

In the field of scientific and scientific-methodical activities, the scientific potential of the department is 75 percent. The teaching staff of the department published more than 50 articles in international scientific journals, more than 20 articles in republican scientific journals, more than 50 abstracts in collections of international and republican conferences.

Based on the activities of the department, up to the present time, republican and international scientific and practical conferences have been organized and held.

In the field of physical training and sports, a sports club has been created, within the framework of which the activities of lessons in four sports are organized. Memorandums of cooperation were signed with the Sambo and Athletics Federations of Uzbekistan.

For the effective organization of physical and combat training classes, there is all the necessary infrastructure, including sports halls designed for various sports, appropriate conditions have been created in a short time, and sports equipment has been provided.

The Academy regularly hosts competitions in various sports between staff, teachers and students.
