As part of the preparation of the voluntary national report on the achievement of the National Goals for Sustainable Development (NGSD) by 2030, a visit to the Academy of Experts took place with the guidance of the program coordinator of Twinning ESCATO, Caitlin Louise Porter, from Mongolia and Tajikistan.
The delegation included regional coordinators from the UN, relevant ministries and agencies from Mongolia and Tajikistan, human rights organizations, and representatives of civil society.
During the meeting, the Deputy Head of the Academy, the responsible secretary of the expert group on "Effective Governance," discussed the work carried out in the preparation of the voluntary national report on SDG 16, as well as the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution of February 21, 2022, "National Goals and Objectives for Sustainable Development until 2030." According to Resolution No. 83, "On additional measures to accelerate implementation," information was provided on the coordination of the group's activities.
Participants of the event shared their thoughts and research experience on issues of victimological crime prevention, gender equality, human rights, violence prevention against women and children, anti-corruption reforms, and illegal financial flows. They also exchanged statistical data, methodologies, and indicators of SDGs and shared their suggestions.
