Training course "Combating torture: international practice and national experience" in Bukhara

Based on the National Education Program in the field of Human Rights in the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved by the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 7, 2023, the training course on the topic "Combating torture: international practice and national experience" was organized by the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Internal Affairs. is being held in cooperation with the Ministry. The leadership, professors, and teachers of the Academy of Law Enforcement, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Institute of Higher Education, the employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and the city of Tashkent are participating in it.

This training course organized by the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs was held in Bukhara region.

Deputy head of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, prof. M. Mamasiddikov made a speech on the topic "Development of legislation on the prevention of acts related to torture".

Torture is a crime against humanity. In all the documents adopted in this regard, torture is strictly prohibited and torture is never justified under any circumstances.
