Representatives of the Academy participated in the regional roundtable on "Women and Cybercrime" in an online format.
The event was organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Regional Office for Central Asia.
Ashita Mittal, regional representative of the UN Security Council for Central Asia, Alexey Feshchenko, adviser of the UN Security Council, Mari-Lain Billodaz, Nargis Azizova, deputy head of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan U.U. H.M. Gadjiev also attended the representatives of international organizations and international experts.
The speakers touched on issues of digital transformation, taking into account gender factors, including modern threats against women and children in cyberspace, technologies of psychological violence on the Internet, and requests to identify such crimes on the hidden Darknet network.
Also, the senior prosecutor of the Scientific-Methodological Center of Digital Criminology H.M. Gadjiev gave a lecture on "Combating cybercrime and violence against women: Uzbekistan's experience". During the lecture, the main legal, organizational, and methodological aspects of protecting women and girls from attacks against their honor and dignity in cyberspace were considered, and the activities of the Cyber Laboratory of the Scientific and Methodological Center of Digital Criminology of the Academy on combating cybercrime and working with digital evidence on this type of crime were revealed.
At the end of the roundtable discussion, theoretical and practical recommendations aimed at increasing capacity in the field of combating cybercrime and violence against women and girls were put forward.
