The discussion of the project of the Second Strategic National Report of Uzbekistan on Sustainable Development Goals took place at the Law Enforcement Academy.
The Academy is considered the operational body of the expert group on the "Effective Governance" direction of the National SDG.
The event was attended by members of the expert group on the "Effective Governance" direction, ministries and agencies responsible, UN organizations and agencies, civil society institutions involved in activities in this area, as well as representatives of leading non-governmental economic organizations.
The opening speech of the conference was delivered by the Deputy Prosecutor General, head of the expert group on the "Effective Governance" direction of the National SDG, S.I.Samadov, who highlighted the important tasks and ongoing measures in the field of sustainable development.
Participants discussed various aspects of the prepared strategic report, including all key tasks, such as ensuring security, gender equality, protection of human rights, ensuring the rule of law and fair justice, combating corruption, and preventing financial abuses.
Experts emphasized the need to provide additional information in the report, including the activities of the non-state sector from a point of view of fulfilling the requirements.
The presented report outlined specific tasks for achieving sustainable development in the field and addressing existing issues.
