"Issues of ensuring human rights in civil investigative activities" will be conducted to further examine the reforms implemented in our country pertaining to the provision of human rights, their content, and to increase the audience's knowledge in this regard. There was a scientific-practical roundtable discussion.
The event was attended by representatives from the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Law Enforcement, the Academy of State Security Service, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Tashkent State Law University, and the Customs Institute, as well as graduate students from the "Investigative Activities" department of the Academy of Law Enforcement.
Prof. M. Mamasiddikov disclosed that the event was organized by the Academy's deputy dean.
Speakers at the roundtable discussed the improvement of criminal-procedural guarantees of human rights and freedoms, the provision of human rights in the investigative activities of prosecutor's offices, education in the field of human rights in the educational institutions of the state security service, the provision of human rights in the investigative activities of customs authorities, the provision of the rights of the participants in the proceedings, and the provision of human rights in the educational institutions of the state security service. They addressed topics within the ambit of such timely concerns.
Also, the participants of the roundtable discussed the issues of human rights protection in the preliminary investigation and inquiry activities, newly introduced and improved institutions in the criminal process, changes and additions to the legislation, their importance in the protection of human rights, existing problems and their solutions.
The roundtable discussion took place in a vivacious and constructive manner, and the participants shared their accumulated knowledge and wealth of experience on these issues, as well as their insightful opinions and recommendations.
