The Law Enforcement Academy, in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Judges of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme School of Judges and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in Fergana and Namangan regions, with the participation of the prosecutor's office, employees of internal affairs bodies and judges in criminal cases, addressed within the framework of the issues arising in the judicial investigation activity. seminar was held.
In the seminar, the issues of legality in conducting inquiries and investigations in criminal cases and ensuring the admissibility of evidence were discussed on the basis of practical examples.
Also, in accordance with articles 416-417 of the Criminal Code, the factors that lead to the return of criminal cases for additional investigation, the shortcomings allowed in the qualification of certain categories of crimes, the appointment of public educators in relation to minors with conditional sentences, the retroactive power of the law in the qualification of crimes and sentencing, and the like a number of other issues were discussed.
The participants of the seminar focused on the importance of regular cooperation in order to ensure a unified approach to the application of laws in judicial investigation activities, and suggested the creation of a dialogue platform that would allow for the joint resolution of problems that may arise in practice.
