The visit of representatives of the US State Department within the framework of a joint project to the Academy

A regular visit of the delegation of the US Department of State to the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place. As part of the delegation, the Academy was visited by the head of counter-terrorism projects of the US Department of State G. Mason, representative of the US Embassy in Tajikistan for law enforcement issues S.Lettich, Director of the NGO "Regional Dialogue" M. Sever, as well as an expert involved in the Academy within the framework of the project, R. Joyce.

During the visit, the parties discussed the implementation of a joint mentoring and training project in the field of countering money laundering and terrorist financing with the NGO "Regional Dialogue" and the Bureau of Counterterrorism of the US Department of State.

The sides also exchanged views on the further implementation of special training courses for law enforcement officers, programs, as well as improving training modules based on international practice with the participation of US experts.

The foreign partners also got acquainted with the new academic buildings and infrastructure of the Academy.
