Cybercrime Prosecution Training

 

The Law Enforcement of the Republic of Uzbekistan conducted training sessions for investigators from the General Prosecutor's Office, the State Security Service, and internal affairs authorities. The focus of the training was on the prosecution of cybercrime and the importance of mutual legal aid.

The training session was conducted with the involvement of M. Carroll, the former director of the Department of Cyber Terrorism Investigation at the Anti-Terrorism Department of the Crown Prosecution Service of Great Britain.

The training program encompasses both theoretical and practical components, including the various types of evidence associated with cybercrimes, the nature of cybercrimes, the significance of international legal proceedings, strategies for international investigation and prosecution, the acquisition of evidence from different jurisdictions, requests for mutual legal assistance, the typology of terrorism, and the role of the Internet in facilitating terrorist activities.

This program aims to enhance employees' understanding and proficiency in addressing contemporary risks and problems, hence enhancing their professional competencies in their respective roles.
