A seminar-training was held on the issues of investigation of crimes involving minors

 

The Law Enforcement Academy, together with the Representative Office of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), organized a training seminar for investigators of internal affairs bodies and teachers of the Academy, dedicated to “The investigation of criminal offenses against juvenile victims and with the participation of juvenile witnesses”.

The purpose of the event is to provide new knowledge and improve the practical skills of specialists in conducting investigative actions involving juvenile victims and witnesses of crimes based on modern international approaches.

The three-day training seminar discussed topics such as the investigation of criminal cases against the sexual integrity and freedom of minors, including those committed using ICT, conducting investigative interrogation with the participation of minors, the rights of minor victims and witnesses, the peculiarities of the age psychology of children, the use of open data (sources) and social networks in the investigation of crimes against minors and other important topics.

This training seminar will serve as the basis for the introduction of a separate training course on the investigation of criminal offenses against minors at the Law Enforcement Academy.
