A republican scientific-practical conference was organized at the  Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic "Actual issues of legal science and law enforcement practice".

The General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Higher School of Judges under the Supreme Council of Judges, the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent State Law University, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the University of Public Security, lawyers professional development center, professors and teachers of the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, young scientists and researchers participated.

The conference is held annually by the Academy in its traditional form and is regularly attended by leading legal scholars of our country.

The main goal of the event is to exchange opinions on the development of legal science in our country, to ensure the harmony of science and practice, to identify existing problems in this regard, and to determine the perspectives and main directions of solving them from a scientific, theoretical and practical point of view.

Within the framework of the conference, in the area of ​​legal science: improvement of legal science and practice of law application in the Republic of Uzbekistan, current problems of development of scientific works related to jurisprudence, prospects of preventing bureaucracy and corruption in scientific activity; in the direction of public administration: improvement of the organizational and legal basis for evaluating the activities of civil servants, protection of the interests of the state and society, analysis of the role and importance of prosecutor's offices, problems in the process of applying legal documents in judicial practice; in the direction of criminal law and criminal procedure: actual problems of practical application of scientific and theoretical knowledge in the field of criminal law, international standards in the field of rehabilitation of a person in criminal proceedings, prospects of ensuring procedural independence of the investigator and other relevant issues were discussed.

Within the framework of the conference, the participants of the event focused on issues such as existing problems in the field of legal science, ways to solve them, increasing attention to the field of science in the context of reforms, eliminating existing artificial obstacles in scientific activity, conducting joint research in cooperation with legal educational institutions, and combining theory and practice, important proposals were put forward to eliminate gaps in the law.

It is planned to publish a collection of scientific articles based on the results of the conference.
