Representatives of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in a seminar organized for the delegation of Uzbekistan at the headquarters of the Council of Europe (Strasbourg, France) within the framework of the Program on the Rule of Law in Central Asia.
The seminar discussed the work done within the framework of the “HELP" program (training of human rights lawyers) The Council of Europe on ensuring the rule of law in Central Asia in 2020-2023 for employees of the Prosecutor's Office in Uzbekistan.
At the same time, Council of Europe experts provided information on issues of raising awareness and proper understanding of the content of the Council of Europe conventions, effective implementation of the requirements of conventions and other international standards.
The three-day event was attended by Frederick Dolt, Head of the Department for Human Rights and the Rule of Law, Kristina Khokhlova, project coordinator of HELP on the Rule of Law in Central Asia, Klaus Neurich, Head of Program Coordination at the Council of Europe, as well as a number of other experts.
The experts of the Council of Europe expressed their readiness for further cooperation with Uzbekistan within the framework of the program on the rule of law in Central Asia.
