Opening Ceremony of the New 2024/2025 Academic Year

 

On September 9, 2024, a solemn ceremony marking the opening of the new 2024/2025 academic year was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The beginning of the new academic year at the Academy is marked by an introductory week during which first-year undergraduate students of the Academy specializing in “Law (Prosecutorial Activities)” and “Law (Investigative Activities),” as well as graduate students specializing in “Prosecutorial Activities,” “Investigative Activities,” “Anti-Corruption,” and “International Human Rights Law,” have the opportunity to become familiar with the organization of the academic process at the Academy.

The event was attended by the leadership of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Law Enforcement Academy, students and graduate students of the Academy, their parents, and representatives of the media.

The ceremony was opened with a welcoming speech by the Deputy General Prosecutor of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Acting Head of the Law Enforcement Academy, State Counselor of Justice 3rd Class, S.I. Samadov, who congratulated the first-year students on their successful admission and wished them great success and achievements in their education and future careers.

It was noted that today, the Law Enforcement Academy is the only specialized higher educational and research institution in the country that trains personnel for the prosecutor's office and state bodies authorized to conduct investigations and inquiries.

Students and their parents also spoke at the event, sharing their impressions, aspirations for their chosen profession, successful experiences of passing entrance exams, and their future plans.

Participants of the event had the opportunity to get acquainted with the organization of the Academy’s educational process, the specifics and directions of the Academy’s departments, centers, and divisions, the continuously expanding modern educational infrastructure, and the unique opportunities created to ensure a close connection between education, science, and practice.

The event program also included lessons on independence, various activities introducing first-year students to the credit-modular system, the procedure for its implementation in the educational process, the internal rules of the institution, and other essential information.

During the week, students will have the opportunity to visit the General Prosecutor's Office, the Prosecution Museum of Uzbekistan, as well as familiarize themselves with the Academy's opportunities in international academic mobility, postgraduate education, participation in research projects, and more.
