Academy staff, including members of the Expert Council under the Anti-Corruption Agency, participated in an international event organized at the Agency on the topic "The Role and Impact of Reporting Corruption Offenses".
In the first part of the event, the results of a survey conducted under a project implemented in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme’s Uzbekistan office and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea were presented. The survey focused on "The Impact of Corruption Reporting on Combating Corruption in Uzbekistan."
The second part of the event included presentations on the content and essence of the newly drafted law "On the Protection of Persons Reporting Corruption Offenses." Experts from Germany and the international organization Transparency International also shared insights on the application of relevant legislation in European countries regarding corruption reporting.
The event provided participants with the opportunity to ask questions and offer suggestions, contributing to the refinement of the research findings and the improvement of the draft law being developed in Uzbekistan.
