The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan announces a competition for the position of a specialist in the accounting field (temporary employment based on a fixed-term contract).
The Academy was established based on Presidential Decree No. PD-257 dated November 28, 2022, titled “On Introducing a New Qualitative System for Training Qualified Personnel in the Field of Criminal Investigation,” which reorganized the Prosecutor General's Academy into the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Currently, the Academy requires a specialist in the field of accounting on a temporary basis. If the documents submitted by the candidate are approved, a bilateral civil-legal contract will be signed between the specialist and the Academy.
Responsibilities of the Specialist:
In accordance with the work schedule attached to the agreement on providing accounting services at the Academy, the following tasks must be performed:
- Overseeing the proper implementation of payroll and equivalent payments.
- Working with the UzASBO-2 program, including preparing sub-account postings for accounting operations.
- Recording newly acquired fixed assets for the Academy, revaluing assets, calculating depreciation postings, and writing off assets based on official documents.
- Recording funds received in off-budget accounts of the Academy and preparing reports on the expenditure of these funds.
- Accounting for inventory purchased for the Academy and writing them off based on official documents.
- Entering contracts with other organizations into the *UzASBO-2* program, and preparing reports on accounts payable and receivable for contracts registered with treasury bodies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Higher education in finance or economics and at least two years of experience in the financial-economic field within budgetary organizations.
- Practical experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of regulations, instructions, and other guidelines related to developing and formalizing accounting documents.
- Familiarity with the procedure for drafting contracts with other organizations in the field of accounting.
- Proficiency in Uzbek and Russian languages.
Employment Conditions:
- The position is for a fixed term of six (6) months, with the possibility of transitioning to permanent employment under a fixed-term labor contract if necessary.
- Payment for the work will be determined through mutual agreement and based on performance, ranging from 3 million to 12 million UZS, depending on the results of the competition.
- The candidate must demonstrate responsibility, teamwork skills, and the ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
- Working hours will follow a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
