Academy Students Participated in an Environmental Plogging Marathon

A team of academy students actively took part in the latest environmental plogging marathon. The marathon also saw participation from representatives of businesses and organizations operating in Tashkent, eco-activists, and local residents.

The event was organized along a specially designated route in the Mirabad and Yakkasaray districts of Tashkent. What made the marathon unique was that participants not only engaged in running exercises but also collected litter along the route, contributing to the cleanliness of city streets and environmental protection.

The plogging marathon achieved two key objectives: strengthening participants' health and contributing to the improvement of the natural environment.

Additionally, the event included awareness-raising activities aimed at enhancing participants' environmental literacy. They were further informed about eco-friendly lifestyles and waste recycling.

As a result of the marathon, several dozen bags of waste were collected from the Mirabad and Yakkasaray districts and sent to recycling centers. All participants received symbolic gifts.

Plogging marathons make a significant contribution to uniting citizens around environmental initiatives and actions, fostering solidarity, and improving the ecological state of the city.
