As part of the international scientific and practical conference titled “Global Challenges and Demands in the Field of Law Enforcement: Modern Strategies and Solutions,” dedicated to the second anniversary of the establishment of the Law Enforcement Academy, a parallel session on “New Approaches to Organizing Investigative Activities: The Role of Digital Forensics” was held.
The session was attended by representatives from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the University of Public Safety, Tashkent State University of Law, as well as professors, researchers, trainees, and students of the Law Enforcement Academy.
The parallel session featured presentations by international and foreign experts in cybercrime and digital forensic units, representing organizations such as the UNODC, OSCE, Interpol, and leading experts from Ireland, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, and Pakistan. Specialists from Uzbekistan’s Legislative and Legal Policy under the President, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Agency for Perspective Projects, and the “Cybercrime Center” State Unitary Enterprise also contributed to the discussions.
The session addressed pressing issues such as combating the illegal use of crypto assets and cyber fraud in Uzbekistan, investigating web threats using open sources, developing digital forensic expertise, utilizing electronic evidence, and training specialists in the field of cybersecurity.
The conference fostered mutual exchange of ideas and advanced practices, discussions on current challenges in the field, and the formulation of proposals and recommendations to address these issues
