To prevent crimes committed using information technologies and to raise youth awareness of cybersecurity issues, the Academy organized a roundtable discussion on the topic: “Cybercrime and Modern Cyber Threats”.
The event was attended by representatives from the Academy's Digital Forensics Research Institute, the Cybersecurity Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Department of Operative-Search Activities, and responsible officers from the Yunusabad District Internal Affairs bodies.
During the event, specialists noted that the majority of individuals committing crimes in the virtual space using information technologies are young people aged 16 to 23, highlighting the urgent need to address cybersecurity and prevent cybercrime among the youth.
Leading practitioners in the field informed the participants about critical aspects of ensuring cybersecurity in the context of global development, preventive measures for combating internet crimes, and shared recommendations on cyber hygiene.
