Currently, the Law Enforcement Academy is the only specialized higher education and research institution in the country that trains personnel for the prosecutor’s office and state bodies authorized to conduct investigations and inquiries.
In other words, young people aspiring to pursue careers as prosecutors or investigators can achieve their dreams only by studying at the Law Enforcement Academy.
The Academy has implemented a comprehensive educational process based on a two-tier system of higher education – undergraduate (bachelor’s) and postgraduate (master’s) programs in investigative and other law enforcement fields. More than 400 students are currently enrolled in the bachelor’s program for “Investigative Activities”.
The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan operates on the principles of openness and transparency, regularly organizing meetings and events for the public. The latest Open Day was organized as part of the admissions process for the bachelor’s program in “Investigative Activities” on December 12 of this year, specifically for graduates of academic lyceums, law colleges, and military academic lyceums in the capital.
Visitors were thoroughly introduced to the rules and benefits of admissions and studying in the Academy’s bachelor’s program.
It is important to note that the admissions process for the Academy does not grant the privileges provided by legislative acts for certain categories of applicants entering other higher educational institutions in the republic.
Graduates of the Academy specializing in investigative activities are exclusively appointed to positions of officer ranks or those requiring the conferment of a class rank when joining (or rejoining) authorized state bodies.
To provide guests with a comprehensive understanding of the admissions and educational process, an excursion was organized. During the tour, visitors had the opportunity to explore the forensic laboratory, expert examination lab, courtroom simulation hall, and other specially equipped facilities for practical and situational training.
The nation’s first DarkWeb cyber laboratory, established at the Academy, along with the use of polygraph (lie detector) technologies in investigative processes, generated great interest among the youth.
Guests received detailed answers to questions regarding the admissions process and education in the Academy’s bachelor’s program.
The organization of Open Days at the Academy has become a good tradition, and such events will continue to be held on a systematic basis.
