The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-257 of November 28, 2022, "On implementing a new system of training qualified personnel in the field of criminal investigation".
Among the main directions of the Academy's activities are:
- Organizing a unified system of training, retraining, and professional development aimed at developing and strengthening the knowledge and skills of the employees of the prosecution authorities, including systems thinking, critical thinking, and instilling high values such as justice and responsibility to ensure legality;
- Training highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel and conducting comprehensive scientific research on the most pressing issues of law enforcement activities, including attracting national and international grants;
- Conducting joint scientific research in the judicial system, fostering continuous international cooperation for exchanging advanced pedagogical experience, and involving qualified specialists from leading foreign higher education and scientific research institutions in the educational process.
Currently, there is a need for an Information Technology Specialist to be temporarily employed to organize the Academy's publications according to SCOPUS database requirements.
If the documents presented by the specialist are approved, a bilateral civil legal contract will be signed between the Academy and the specialist.
Specialist's responsibilities:
The Information Technology Specialist should perform the following tasks:
- Conduct preliminary research on the project, study the requirements imposed on the system, develop technical specifications accordingly, design the website platform, and approve the AVR-1 technical documentation;
- Edit, adjust, and install the full website structure: create and approve a prototype of the website design, start the process of developing the approved design, install the OJS platform and configure it, ensure the platform works in both test and final versions, fully install the OJS platform, add users, and configure languages for the site;
- Integrate the OJS platform with relevant databases (antiplagiarism, DOI, ISSN, ORCID), upload the presented information to the platform;
- Fill the website with content in all available languages, upload static and dynamic data, transfer the website hosting to the client's hosting, and provide instructions on managing the website;
- After the OJS platform is created and finalized, conduct a seminar for the Academy's responsible officer.
Candidate requirements:
- At least two years of experience in the field of information technology;
- Good knowledge of Uzbek, English, and Russian languages.
Work duration:
The duration of this job is 3 months, with the possibility of future employment based on a labor contract with the Academy if necessary.
Payment:
The amount of payment for the work will be determined by mutual agreement between the parties and paid based on the results of the work performed.
Requirements:
- Initiative, teamwork, and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Working hours:
The working hours will be 40 hours per week, with a 5-day workweek.
The candidate must personally apply to the Academy's Human Resources Department with a civil passport or ID card and provide the necessary documents (identity verification document, a photo, a diploma of higher education and its annex, a copy of the work book, and a tax ID certificate). After reviewing the submitted documents, an interview may be held with the candidate if necessary.
