At the Law Enforcement Academy, the training sessions of the professional retraining course in the form of initial specialization for employees newly appointed to the prosecutor’s office have been completed.
The professional retraining course was aimed at teaching the fundamentals of prosecutorial and investigative activities, as well as the organization of record-keeping in the prosecutor’s office. The course was conducted in a blended learning format, combining remote (electronic) learning with traditional in-person training at the Academy.
The course program focused not only on professional skills related to current issues in prosecutorial and investigative activities and the organization of record-keeping in the prosecutor’s office but also on the development of general competencies.
The course participants mastered topics related to prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of laws, current issues of criminal law and procedure, ensuring the prosecutor's authority in judicial proceedings, the organization of work in the prosecutor's office, handling appeals and record-keeping, international human rights standards, professional ethics, speech culture, psychological competence of employees, and other modules.
The final part of the professional retraining course was conducted in person at the Academy in a traditional learning format. During this phase, the knowledge and skills acquired in the remote format without leaving work were reinforced. Participants who successfully passed the final testing received diplomas in professional retraining.
