On February 28 of this year, the Law Enforcement Academy, in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Agency, analyzed the implementation of the Virtual Academy for Combating Corruption system.
For reference, according to Presidential Decree No. PQ-228 of June 21, 2024, "On Measures to Introduce a System of Continuous Improvement of the Population’s and Civil Servants’ Knowledge in the Field of Combating Corruption," the Virtual Academy for Combating Corruption electronic platform has been launched since January of this year.
During the meeting, the First Deputy Head of the Academy, E. Kolenko, provided detailed information on the implementation status of the Virtual Academy electronic platform, its capabilities, the ongoing work, and future projects.
In particular, throughout 2024, the Academy organized more than 110 remote training courses for 95,623 employees from over 150 government agencies and other organizations. Those who successfully completed the courses were awarded electronic certificates.
In January of this year, more than 700 compliance control officers responsible for combating corruption in various organizations improved their qualifications through the Virtual Academy electronic platform.
According to the plan-schedule approved by the Agency and the Academy, starting in March, specialized and advanced training courses will be launched for:
- Newly hired employees in government agencies and organizations,
- Internal anti-corruption control structures,
- Employees working in public service positions with high corruption risks.
During the meeting, the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, A. Burkhanov, familiarized himself with the Virtual Academy platform’s capabilities and shared his suggestions and recommendations.
Both parties agreed to expand the use of the Virtual Academy, increase the involvement of youth and various segments of the population, enhance legal awareness and culture, and strengthen efforts to develop legal immunity against corruption in society. Additionally, they emphasized instilling values of integrity in the minds of the younger generation.
