Roundtable Discussion on "Prospects for the Use of Modern Information Technologies in Criminal Investigations"


The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a roundtable discussion on "Prospects for the Use of Modern Information Technologies in Criminal Investigations".

The event brought together leading specialists, scholars, practicing lawyers, and forensic experts. The primary focus was on the digitization of criminal procedural activities, the use of artificial intelligence, the development of forensic examination, and the implementation of innovative methods in criminalistics.

During the discussions, participants explored the integration of digital technologies into forensic practice, the development of forensic examination methodologies in accordance with international standards, and the introduction of new scientific approaches. Special attention was given to the importance of training highly qualified specialists in handling digital evidence. The discussion also covered the effective use of modern technical tools and the improvement of processes for accurate and objective analysis of criminal evidence.

The outcomes of the roundtable are expected to contribute to the development of strategic directions for strengthening cooperation between expert communities, higher education institutions, and law enforcement agencies. Participants proposed launching joint scientific research projects aimed at enhancing international cooperation in forensic science and improving crime investigation methods using digital technologies.
