As part of the methodological and consultative support for crime prevention and combating offenses, one of the main areas of activity of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the study of the criminogenic situation in the country's regions, conducted based on scientific approaches.
Since January of this year, working groups led by the Academy’s leadership and composed of experienced staff have been formed. These groups are carrying out systematic work aimed at the full implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. RP–1 dated January 3, 2025, “On measures to create a safe environment and further improve the effectiveness of the early crime prevention system in the mahallas of the Republic in 2025”.
Working groups operating directly in the regions of the country study and identify factors that negatively affect the criminogenic situation, determine the causes contributing to the commission of offenses, and analyze the correlation between territorial characteristics and the dynamics of crime in each individual mahalla of the red and yellow categories.
Based on the analysis, scientifically grounded conclusions and recommendations are developed for the early prevention of the most common types of offenses, and work is also carried out to prepare relevant methodological and practical manuals.
