The study of the criminogenic situation in mahallas continues

The Academy is carrying out consistent work to implement the tasks outlined in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № RP-1, dated January 3, 2025, “On measures to create a safe environment and further improve the effectiveness of the early crime prevention system in the mahallas of the Republic in 2025”.

Thus, specialists from the Academy conducted a comprehensive study of the criminogenic situation in the Mirabad district of Tashkent to identify and thoroughly analyze the key factors influencing crime rates in mahallas with elevated crime levels. A total of 38 mahallas classified as “red” and “yellow” zones were examined.

Based on an in-depth analysis of the factors affecting the criminogenic situation in each mahalla, an assessment was carried out on the characteristics of committed offenses. Additionally, scientifically grounded recommendations were developed for implementing a targeted crime prevention system.

These recommendations are to be incorporated into regional “roadmaps” for crime prevention.
