At the Law enforcement academy, a professional development course was organized for investigators of internal affairs bodies on the topic: “Issues of organizing investigative activities in internal affairs agencies”.
The training course was delivered in a blended learning format. Its final stage included in-person sessions at the Academy, focusing on general procedures for crime scene examination, operational search activities, collection of samples for forensic examinations, organization of pre-investigation checks based on victims’ complaints, as well as issues related to the classification of crimes in cases involving multiple offenses.
In addition, the participants acquired knowledge and skills related to the organization and use of the results of operational-search activities in criminal proceedings, investigative actions aimed at solving crimes related to human trafficking, the fundamentals of digital forensics, general and specific aspects of investigating fraud-related crimes, operational-search measures, preliminary inquiries, tactics for investigating human trafficking offenses, expert examinations conducted during investigative procedures, improving the system for protecting the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of women and children, as well as the content of amendments and additions made to the criminal legislation to enhance this system.
