Parallel session "Current issues of counteracting cybercrime in the era of digital transformation"


As part of the conference, a parallel session was held on the theme “Current Issues in Combating Cybercrime in the Era of Digital Transformation”. The session was attended by representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the OSCE, UNICEF, the Spanish Civil Guard, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Korea, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Committee of Forensic Examinations of the Republic of Belarus, the A.Y. Sukharev Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the University of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, the Higher School of Economics, the M. Yesbulatov Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan in Almaty, as well as other prestigious institutions.

In addition, specialists from leading IT companies such as Magnet Forensics, TikTok, MOBILedit Forensic, ACELab, LAN-PROEKT, and Group IB participated in the session, presenting innovative technical and software solutions for combating cybercrime.

The session featured discussions on topics such as: preventing and countering cybercrime, collecting and analyzing digital evidence, legal standards for the admissibility of such evidence, combating violence against minors in the digital environment, cooperation between digital platforms and law enforcement authorities, and the results of activities conducted by the Research Institute of Digital Forensics under the Law Enforcement Academy.

Representatives from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Public Security University, the Supreme Court, the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Tashkent State University of Law, the H. Sulaymonova Republican Center for Forensic Expertise, as well as professors, lecturers, researchers, and students participated in the event.

During the session, ideas and best practices were exchanged, pressing issues in the field were discussed, and recommendations and proposals aimed at addressing these challenges were developed.
