А.О.Khalmuratov, аn employee of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the international training course titled “Human Trafficking: Prevention and Mitigation of Consequences II” under the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) organized by the U.S. Department of State.
The event brought together representatives from the law enforcement agencies, and non-governmental organizations of countries including Albania, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bulgaria, Denmark, Italy, Jordan, Malaysia, Montenegro, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, East Timor, and Uzbekistan.
The training sessions included lectures and practical workshops on the following topics:
· Modern methods and tools in combating human trafficking;
· U.S. practices in addressing child and women trafficking and combating forced labor;
· Effective organization of investigation and prosecutorial oversight;
· Protection of migrants' rights and freedoms;
· Methods for detecting human trafficking through digital technologies;
· Hidden schemes and global trends in human trafficking;
· Monitoring of employment for labor migrants;
· Criminal, administrative, civil-procedural, and operational-search measures.
Additionally, the Academy representative became closely familiar with the education system and training programs of the University of Central Florida on preventing and combating human trafficking.
This international course provided participants with an opportunity to deeply explore best practices in preventing and combating human trafficking and to enhance their knowledge and skills to implement effective mechanisms in their respective countries.
