A training session on “Investigation of criminal cases involving crimes against children committed using information and communication technologies” was held at the Academy.


From August 5 to 7, 2025, the Law Enforcement Academy, in cooperation with the UNICEF Office in Uzbekistan, conducted a training session on “Investigation of criminal cases involving crimes against children committed using information and communication technologies” with the participation of international expert Irina Urumova.

The event was attended by representatives of the National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the University of Public Safety, and the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the event, international standards in this field were analyzed, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime (2001), and the Lanzarote Convention (2007). The training placed special emphasis on modern forms of digital violence, the psychology of victims and offenders, specific aspects of collecting digital evidence, the use of OSINT methods, investigative tactics when working with minors, and the conduct of forensic computer-technical examinations in the investigation of crimes against minors.

In addition, participants of the seminar learned about issues of providing mutual legal assistance, cooperation with digital platforms, and the use of specialized software to combat crimes against minors involving information and communication technologies.

At the end of the training, participants were awarded corresponding certificates.
