The Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Education of the Law Enforcement Academy requires a Tutor-Specialist (temporary employment on a contractual basis).
The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established on the basis of the Academy of the Prosecutor General in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PF–257 of November 28, 2022, “On the Introduction of a Fundamentally New System for Training Qualified Personnel in the Field of Crime Investigation”.
At present, there is a need to recruit a tutor-specialist for the Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Education on a temporary basis. If the submitted documents are approved, the Academy will conclude a bilateral civil-law contract with the candidate. Previously employed tutors of the Academy may be given priority when signing the contract.
Main Responsibilities of the Tutor-Specialist:
Regularly engage in the spiritual, moral, and professional education of students;
Continuously improve personal skills, professional qualifications, theoretical knowledge, and practical experience;
Respect the honor, dignity, and reputation of students;
Create a database of students in tutor groups and submit it to the undergraduate faculty;
Not disclose or share personal data of students with third parties without their consent;
Coordinate and supervise the academic, spiritual, and scientific activities of students;
Regularly monitor and analyze academic performance, class attendance, and participation in drill activities;
At least once every two months, visit students’ residences (in dormitories, rented apartments, with relatives, or in their own homes), study their living conditions, and take measures to improve them;
Conduct scheduled group and individual discussions (at least once a week with the group and at least twice a month with each student) on spiritual-enlightenment and socio-political issues, while maintaining regular contact with parents;
Organize weekly “Information and Educational Hour” sessions, Soft skills development trainings, and ensure their effectiveness;
Develop and maintain individual student portfolios for tutor groups, as well as a logbook of “tutor hours” and planned activities;
Regularly meet with parents to provide information on students’ academic performance, discipline, behavior, and compliance with internal rules;
Familiarize students and their parents (legal representatives) with the Academy’s internal regulations, dormitory rules, and other normative documents governing the educational process;
Immediately inform the Academy’s administration of emergency or problematic situations related to students;
Conduct systematic awareness-raising activities on the prevention of offenses, crime, and religious extremism, with the participation of relevant specialists;
Organize preventive work to raise awareness of the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and psychotropic substances;
Identify students in need of material assistance and submit proposals to the administration regarding their social support;
Monitor students’ compliance with internal regulations and other local documents of the Academy, and submit proposals to the Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Education on measures against violators;
Organize the activities of student clubs and circles assigned to them, ensure maximum student participation, and monitor attendance;
Fulfill other duties in accordance with current legislation, local documents of the Academy, and the concluded contract.
Candidate Requirements:
Higher education (academic degree or title is an advantage);
Age between 25 and 55;
At least 2 years of experience in pedagogical, psychological, educational, methodological activities, or in the management of the educational process, youth affairs, or spiritual-enlightenment work;
No legal prohibition from engaging in pedagogical activities;
Responsibility and ability to work independently.
Recruitment Procedure:
Hiring for the position of tutor is carried out in accordance with the internal local regulations of the Academy and formalized by an order of the Academy’s administration.
Duration of Work:
Set for 10 months. Further employment on the basis of a labor contract may be possible if required.
Payment:
The amount of payment is determined by mutual agreement of the parties and depends on the results of the work performed.
Additional Requirements:
Initiative, ability to work in a team, and timely completion of assignments.
Work Schedule:
40-hour work week, 5-day working schedule.
Document Submission:
The candidate must personally apply to the Academy’s HR Department with a passport or ID card and submit the required documents (identity card, CV, higher education diploma with transcript, copy of employment record book, and certificate of assigned Taxpayer Identification Number). After reviewing the submitted documents, if necessary, the candidate will be invited to an interview with a selection committee.
