The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan announces a competition for the position of a specialist at the Public Relations Department (a fixed-term civil law contract will be concluded).

About the Academy: In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 28, 2022, No. PF–257 “On the introduction of a qualitatively new system of training qualified personnel in the field of criminal investigation,” the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established on the basis of the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office.

The main areas of activity of the Academy are defined as training, retraining, and advanced training of personnel in the field of investigation and other areas of law enforcement. At the same time, ensuring openness and transparency of the Academy’s activities, as well as widely communicating educational and research processes to the public, is of great importance.

Based on this, in order to cover the activities of the Academy in the media, to shape its positive image, and to demonstrate its initiative in the large-scale reforms being implemented in our country, there is a need to attract a specialist in the field of press service to the Public Relations Department of the Academy. If the submitted documents are approved, a bilateral fixed-term civil law contract will be signed with the candidate.

Main responsibilities of the specialist:

Preparing information about the Academy’s activities for mass media, online publications, the Academy’s official website and social networks, as well as other information resources in Uzbek, Russian, and English.

Organizing press conferences, briefings, and media tours regarding the Academy’s activities.

Shaping and promoting a positive image of the Academy, conducting social surveys, and studying public opinion in other formats.

Effectively cooperating with the media, expanding the network of journalists and bloggers regularly working with the Academy, preparing information for prompt distribution and submitting it to the Head of the Department.

Developing media plans to cover the activities of the Academy’s departments and to ensure legal awareness campaigns, and participating in their implementation.

Assisting in organizing regular appearances of the Academy’s leadership in the media.

Monitoring and analyzing the information space, participating in providing prompt responses to critical and widely discussed materials, as well as to information attacks.

Preparing materials for foreign media and partner websites in cooperation with relevant divisions of the Academy.

Developing concepts, scripts, and directly producing videos, programs, infographics, booklets, brochures, and other media products that enable comprehensive coverage of the Academy’s activities.

Timely and high-quality execution of the assignments of the Head of the Public Relations Department and reporting on the work performed.

Supporting the activities of the student media club at the Academy.

Candidate requirements:

Higher education in journalism or law.

Age between 25 and 55.

At least 3 years of work experience in the field of press services in the legal sector.

Skills in preparing video materials, articles, posts, news, and scripts.

Proficiency in relevant software (Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, etc.).

Possession of exemplary personal qualities as a specialist engaged in the prosecutor’s office system.

Conditions:

Duration of work: 6 months. Depending on future needs, the candidate may be employed under an employment contract with the Academy.

Payment: The amount will be determined by mutual agreement and paid based on the results of the work performed.

Requirements: responsibility and professionalism, initiative, teamwork skills, timely and high-quality execution of tasks.

Working hours: from 09:00 to 18:00, 40 hours per week, 5 working days.

Applicants must personally apply to the Academy’s HR Department with a passport or ID card and submit the following documents: identity document, CV, higher education diploma (scientific degree) with transcript, copy of the employment record book, TIN, and PINFL certificate. After reviewing the submitted documents, if necessary, the candidate will be invited for an interview with the commission.
