At the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in order to ensure the spiritual, moral, and physical development of students, to protect their rights and interests, as well as to further enhance the social activity of youth, elections for the Chairperson (President) of the student council are scheduled to be held.
In accordance with the Academy’s Charter, the elections will take place on the last Friday of October 2025, from 09:00 to 18:00, on the premises of the Academy.
Candidates for the position of chairperson of the Council are nominated in coordination with the Academy’s department for youth affairs, spirituality, and enlightenment. Within two days, candidates undergo an interview, based on the results of which the most successful students are granted the right to participate in the elections. Applicants are expected to possess leadership qualities, public speaking skills, initiative, and experience in teamwork. In addition, they must be well-informed about the essence of the state youth policy and the ongoing reforms.
For the purpose of pre-election campaigning, candidates are given seven days. During this period, they present their programs to students, participate in open dialogues and debates. One day before the election, campaigning must cease.
The elections will be conducted through universal, equal, and secret ballot. The student who receives the highest number of votes shall be elected Chairperson of the Student Council and confirmed by order of the head of the Academy.
The term of office of the elected Chairperson is one year. During this period, the Chairperson is entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities: representing students’ interests, implementing social and spiritual-enlightenment projects, supporting talented youth, and promoting the realization of their initiatives.
The election process will be organized on the principles of openness and transparency. Through the official social media channels of the Academy, regular updates will be provided on the preparation, progress of the campaign, and the voting process.
These elections will become an important step for the students of the Academy in demonstrating their talents and potential, developing leadership and organizational skills, as well as in effectively defending the interests of the student body.
