A practical training was organized at the Law Enforcement Academy within the framework of the "Road Traffic Safety" project, implemented jointly with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This project is scheduled to be implemented in 2023-2025, with leading Japanese specialists participating.
Within the framework of the project, since September 2023, 6 experts from Japan have been studying the causes of road accidents in our country. Also in 2024, the Japanese company ALMEC implemented a pilot project aimed at preventing road accidents in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent and the city of Yangiyul, Tashkent region. During the pilot project, the actions of citizens in emergency situations were analyzed, and reconstruction work was carried out in the identified hazardous areas at the expense of Japanese funds.
The next training session at the Academy was organized with the participation of JICA expert Nishida Yasushi. He is an international specialist with extensive experience in studying road traffic accidents, data analysis, and identifying risk factors. During her career, Nishida Yasushi participated in a number of major studies in the field of road safety, worked as an expert in projects implemented in foreign countries, and held responsible positions at ITARDA - Japan Institute for the Study and Analysis of Road Traffic Accidents.
During the training, students familiarized themselves with the content of the project being implemented, the methods of scientific and practical research used in Japan, and the standards for data collection and analysis. Interesting information about Japanese culture and national traditions was also presented.
Such meetings serve to develop students' professional skills, familiarize them with international best practices, and further enrich their knowledge in the field of road safety. The Project Management Department of the Academy pays special attention to the consistent organization of practical classes and master classes with the participation of international experts.
