A short-term training course for investigators of regional and equivalent prosecutors’ offices on the topic “Investigation and qualification of bribery-related crimes” has been completed at the Law Enforcement Academy. The course was aimed at strengthening professional competencies in the field of combating corruption-related offenses.
During the training sessions, participants were introduced to modern approaches to detecting and investigating bribery, including issues related to conducting operational-search activities, applying forensic and psychological knowledge in investigative work, and utilizing digital forensics tools in uncovering corruption crimes. Particular attention was paid to the procedures for conducting operational measures, making lawful procedural decisions in cases of bribery, and addressing current challenges in the legal qualification of such acts.
A separate module of the course was devoted to the criminal-law characteristics and qualifying elements of commercial bribery, as well as to measures for preventing corruption offenses in light of contemporary law enforcement practice.
The training course was delivered in an interactive format, enabling participants to discuss practical situations encountered in investigative work and to receive comprehensive answers to their questions from experts and instructors.
