An academic exchange in the format of a guest lecture by a professor of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk (Poland) was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for master’s degree students.
Within the framework of the guest lecture, issues related to the legal framework for financial security, regulation of digital financial processes, as well as modern approaches to the development of cyber law and the обеспечения of cybersecurity were examined in a systematic manner. Discussion of these topics was conducted in the context of the transformation of legal systems under conditions of digitalization and the growing scale of cross-border risks.
Particular attention during the lecture was paid to the practices of European Union member states in countering illicit financial operations, ensuring the resilience of financial systems, and developing regulatory mechanisms for responding to cyber threats. In this context, issues of international cooperation, convergence of legal approaches, personal data protection, and information security were also addressed.
The academic dialogue format enabled master’s students not only to become acquainted with international experience, but also to critically assess the presented legal models through discussions of problematic situations and analysis of practical cases. This approach contributes to the development of analytical thinking and the formation of a comprehensive understanding of contemporary challenges in the field of financial and digital security.
The guest lecture fits organically into the strategy for developing international academic cooperation at the Law Enforcement Academy and provides a substantive foundation for the further expansion of joint educational and research initiatives with the University of Gdańsk.
