The Academy expands international cooperation: visit to Polish universities

The delegation of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the universities of Gdańsk and Warsaw in Poland. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation, develop joint educational programs and academic exchanges, as well as exchange experience in the field of legal education and scientific research.

The visit program began at the University of Gdańsk, where a meeting was held with the university's rector, Professor P. Stepnowski. During the negotiations, issues of expanding cooperation in higher education, implementing joint scientific projects, and establishing academic exchanges were discussed. Following the meeting, an agreement on academic exchange was signed between the Academy and the University of Gdańsk.

Meetings were also held with Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs V. Laskovsky, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Management V. Zalewski, Deputy Dean for International Cooperation M. Vishovati, and representative of the Gdańsk Regional Prosecutor's Office M. Schumacher. They discussed the implementation of joint research and projects in the fields of criminal justice, criminology, and crime prevention, the establishment of joint educational programs, the allocation of grants for talented students of the Academy, the organization of academic exchanges and internships, as well as ensuring the harmony of theory and practice in legal education.

During the meeting with the leadership of the Faculty of Law and Management of the University of Warsaw, issues of developing strategic cooperation, implementing joint projects, and academic exchange programs were discussed.

During the visit, the delegation familiarized themselves with the university infrastructure, including central libraries, classrooms, court simulation rooms, as well as the practice of implementing sustainable development principles. The Museum of Criminalistics of the University of Gdańsk and the Central Library of the University of Warsaw, as well as the largest green park in Europe on its roof, made a great impression on the participants.

A meeting was also held with the leadership of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), where issues of academic exchange, doctoral studies, internships, and the development of joint research programs were discussed.

The visit was rich in mutually beneficial and fruitful negotiations, which contributed to the further strengthening of international cooperation and made it possible to reach important agreements.
