Applicants for the Basic Doctoral Programme (PhD) and Doctoral Programme (DSc) must register via the daraja.ilmiy.uz website from 15 September to 15 October 2026 and submit all required documents, in accordance with the established procedure, to the Academy’s Centre for Coordination of Scientific and Innovative Research and Training of Scientific Personnel.

The following applicants are eligible for admission to the Basic Doctoral Programme:

  • holders of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees exclusively in the field of law, or holders of a higher education diploma in the relevant speciality;
  • graduates of the Academy’s Master’s programme;
  • graduates of the Master’s programme of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Higher School of Strategic Analysis and Forecasting of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who hold a Bachelor’s degree in law;
  • applicants who have scientific results that may form the basis of a dissertation for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in legal sciences, including at least one article published in a scientific journal and abstracts of presentations included in at least two collections of scientific works in the relevant fields;
  • applicants who hold a national or relevant international certificate confirming their level of proficiency in a foreign language. This requirement does not apply to graduates of higher education institutions ranked among the top 300 in international rankings approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Applicants meeting the following requirements are eligible for admission to the Doctoral Programme:

  • holders of the Candidate of Legal Sciences degree or the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in legal sciences, or an equivalent academic degree obtained in a foreign country;
  • applicants who, after obtaining the Candidate of Legal Sciences degree, the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in legal sciences, or another equivalent academic degree, have achieved significant scientific results, including at least three scientific articles published in scientific journals that may form the basis of a dissertation for the Doctor of Sciences (DSc) degree, as well as at least two abstracts published in proceedings of scientific and practical conferences, seminars, and collections of scientific works in the relevant fields.

Study in the system of postgraduate education lasts up to three years.
