On October 23 of this year, a seminar-training on "Digital criminology: problems and prospects" began in cooperation with the coordinator of OSCE projects in Uzbekistan at the Law Enforcement Academy.
The seminar-training was opened by E.V. Kolenko, the first deputy head of the Law Enforcement Academy, and L. Maqsudova, the national adviser of the coordinator of OSCE projects in Uzbekistan.
The purpose of the seminar-training is to increase the capacity of investigators of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan to investigate crimes committed using information technologies using digital evidence and modern digital forensics tools.
This seminar is being held with the participation of foreign experts from Moldova, Portugal, Russian Federation, South Korea.
A five-day seminar-training program on open source (OSINT)-based investigation; the fundamentals of criminalistic tactics for the introduction of interrogation of minors and the technologies used in OCSEA investigations; access to the hidden segment of the Internet network "Darknet"; including procedures for collecting and analyzing data on cryptocurrency transactions used for criminal purposes and other relevant issues.
Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about modern methods of economic crimes committed over the Internet, as well as advanced techniques for examining digital evidence, computers and mobile devices, the characteristics of examining and collecting digital evidence from databases, and mobile device forensics.
The seminar-training will end on October 27 this year.
