As part of the methodological and advisory assistance provided in the field of crime prevention and combating criminal activity—one of the key areas of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan—scientific studies of the criminogenic environment in various regions of the country are being carried out.
Since January of this year, a working group consisting of the Academy’s leadership and staff has been systematically working to ensure the implementation of the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD–1, dated January 3, 2025, “On Measures to Create a Safe Environment in Neighborhoods and Further Improve the System for Early Crime Prevention in 2025.”
To achieve this goal, Academy specialists have been conducting on-site visits to regions to analyze factors that negatively affect the criminogenic situation, the causes of offenses, as well as the relationship between crime dynamics and territorial characteristics in neighborhoods classified as “red” and “yellow” zones.
Based on these analyses, scientifically grounded conclusions and proposals are being developed to ensure the early prevention of the most common offenses. Additionally, relevant methodological and practical guidelines are being prepared.
