The knowledge and capabilities of prosecutors in the fight against international terrorism have been enhanced.

At the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the third stage of a special training dedicated to counter-terrorism issues was held in cooperation with the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Uzbekistan. The week-long event featured the participation of British expert M.Carroll, a criminal justice advisor with extensive practical experience in criminal law and counter-terrorism.

The goal of the training was to enhance the knowledge and professional skills of prosecutor's office employees in the field of counter-terrorism, to study the positive experiences of foreign countries in this area, as well as to explore international legal mechanisms and standards used to detect, investigate, and combat terrorist activities.

During the event, participants thoroughly discussed topics such as access to Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), the use of OSINT in terrorism-related criminal cases under UK legislation, and the collection, analysis, and application of evidence from open sources using modern methods.

A key part of the event was the active discussion of real cases related to digital evidence in practice, identifying current challenges faced by prosecutors in investigating terrorism-related crimes, and developing joint proposals to address these issues based on international experience.

The training was highly appreciated by the participants, and similar events are planned to continue in the future.
