In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated from January 22, 2025, No. RP–17 “On measures to introduce a system for training professional personnel in the field of combating crimes committed through digital technologies”, the Law Enforcement Academy has introduced, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, a master’s degree program in “Legal provision of cybersecurity”.
International experts and specialists in the field of combating crimes in the digital sphere have been engaged in the educational process.
In particular, with the support of the British Embassy in Tashkent and the participation of experts from the UK-based Center for Information Resilience (CIR), a training course was conducted at the Academy for master’s students of the program “Legal provision of cybersecurity” on the topic: “Open source intelligence analysis (OSINT)”.
During the seminar, students gained knowledge and practical skills in the effective use of OSINT technologies, specifically in the application of geo-location and chrono-location methods, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence into analytical processes. The sessions were conducted by CIR experts Benjamin den Braber, Rollo Collins, and Jack Bishop.
At the conclusion of the course, participants were awarded certificates.
