Simulated litigation: professional competition among students

At the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a model competition on criminal cases titled "Imitation of Judicial Process" was held among 3rd-year undergraduate students majoring in "Prosecutorial Activity."

The main goal of the competition was to harmonize students' theoretical knowledge with practice and to develop their practical skills in organizing and conducting judicial proceedings.

The teams "Adolat," "Femida" and "Qonun" took part in the competition. During the competition, students practically demonstrated the powers, legal position, and professional skills of prosecutors, judges, lawyers, and other participants in criminal proceedings.

The judges evaluated the participants' legal knowledge, oratory skills, quick thinking skills, skills in applying the norms of criminal procedure legislation, and the culture of conduct in court proceedings. The simulation of the trial, which reflected the real court environment, aroused great interest among the participants and spectators.

Following the competition, which was held in a spirit of high competition, the "Adolat" team emerged as the winner. The "Femida" team took second place, and the "Qanun" team took third.

Winners were also determined in a number of special categories. R. Kushmakov was recognized as the winner in the "Best Judge" category, L. Abdikulova as the "Best State Prosecutor," O. Abdurayimov as the "Best Lawyer," and D. Normurodov as the "Best Participant."

At the end of the event, the winners and prize-winners were awarded a cup, certificates of honor, and commemorative gifts.
