AIM AND TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Criminal Law and Criminology Department of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 28, 2022 “On the introduction of a qualitatively new system for training qualified personnel in the field of crime investigation”, No. PD-257.

The department is considered a structural division of the Academy, where activities related to educational and scientific-methodical work are carried out based on the module training system.

The main goal of the department is to train modern-minded, qualified, outstanding personnel in the field of criminal law and criminology.

The main tasks of the department related to educational and scientific-methodical work:

Organization of educational activities in the areas and specialties of legal education by using a module system and innovative teaching methods, through the use of information and communication technologies aimed at the formation of highly qualified specialists with the ability to analytically thinking, skills in commenting on legal acts and making independent decisions, promoting and solving prospective tasks, and knowledge in the field of criminal law and criminology.  

Providing scientific and methodological, educational materials in the educational process, introducing modern educational technologies by studying foreign experiences in this field to improve labor productivity, the quality, and efficiency of education.

He defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in legal sciences on the topic "Criminal-legal and criminological aspects of torture".

He is a co-author of such textbooks as "Criminal Law", "International Cooperation in combating crime, and general legal Descriptions of Crimes under the Jurisdiction of the ICC", "Court and Law enforcement Agencies", "Court and law enforcement agencies. Advocacy”, and the author of training manuals "Structure of a Crime and the basics of criminal liability", "International Standards and national legislation on the fight against torture and Issues of criminal liability", "Problems of Qualification of crimes related to administrative prejudice", "Problems of Qualification of Crimes: analysis and Comments", "Criminal law some issues of the general section" and monograph "Classification of crimes".

Conducts dissertation work for obtaining the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Legal Sciences (Ph.D.) on the topic: "Criminalistic aspects of the investigation of human trafficking crimes".

He is the author of textbooks such as "Legal Preparation", "Constitutional Law", "Law enforcement agencies", "Activity of preventive service of internal affairs agencies", training manuals "Theory of the State and Law", "Legislative Technique", "Legal Technique", "Constitutional Law", "Criminal Proceedings", "Fundamentals of ensuring openness of internal affairs agencies", "Fundamentals of ensuring public safety", the monograph "Legal technique", "Collection of problems from the legal training course", "Album of drawings from the legal training course".
