ANNOUNCEMENT webinar: “New technologies for tracking virtual sssets, joint investigations, and asset recovery”


At the initiative of the Law enforcement academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, acting as the Secretariat of the asset recovery inter-agency network for West and Central Asia (ARIN-WCA), and in cooperation with the Regional office of the United Nations 
Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the next sixth session of the webinar series will be held on 25 November at 14:00 this year.

The webinar, dedicated to the Academy’s third anniversary within the framework of the academic decade, will focus on the topic: “New technologies for tracking virtual sssets, joint investigations, and asset recovery”.

The event will feature expert William Bill Sparks, a specialist in risks related to the legalization of crypto-assets and digital assets, as well as Masich Matt Makovsky, an expert in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and information security, among other speakers. They will share practical insights on identifying virtual assets, OSINT technologies, tracking digital footprints, and modern methods of investigating financial crimes.

Representatives of the competent authorities from ARIN-WCA member states Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, as well as delegates from other foreign countries, will participate in the webinar.
