In the context of the consistent renewal of the judicial and legal system and the strengthening of its technological foundations, the introduction of modern digital solutions into priority areas of law enforcement activity is of particular importance. Improving the quality of investigation, ensuring its transparency and speed is directly related to the effective use of intelligent technologies, and these approaches bring investigative activities to a new level.
On April 30, 2026, a republican scientific-practical conference titled "Prospects for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Investigative Actions" was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, higher educational and scientific institutions, independent researchers and doctoral students in online and offline formats. Within the framework of the conference, the legal and organizational aspects of introducing artificial intelligence technologies into the investigative process, advanced foreign experience, existing problems and their solutions were discussed in detail.
As experts note, the use of artificial intelligence expands opportunities for forming investigative versions, preparing certain procedural documents, rapidly analyzing large volumes of data, and supporting decision-making processes. This, in turn, serves to increase the speed and validity of the investigation, reduce the negative impact of the human factor, and increase overall efficiency.
At the same time, special attention was paid to the issues of information security, personal data protection, as well as the responsible and rational use of technologies in the application of artificial intelligence technologies.
Following the conference, specific scientific approaches and practical proposals were formulated for the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in investigative activities. These proposals are aimed at the systematic implementation of modern digital solutions in the field, improving the quality of investigation and ensuring its efficiency.
It is also planned to publish a collection of scientific articles based on the conference materials, which will serve to further deepen scientific research in this direction and popularize best practices.
Thus, the Academy contributes to the scientific and technological development of the law enforcement sector by fulfilling its mission of teaching and learning to serve the law.
