Compliance and international standards: strengthening the principles of integrity in business

The Law Enforcement Academy carries out systematic work aimed at forming an intolerant attitude toward corruption in society, increasing the knowledge and legal culture of public and private sector representatives in the field of corruption prevention and the introduction of modern compliance mechanisms. Another such event was organized with the participation of the management and managers of Veolia Energy Tashkent.

At the seminar, the head of the Anti-Corruption Scientific and Educational Center of the Law Enforcement Academy, Kh. Tursunbekov, made a presentation on the negative impact of corruption on society and the business environment, liability measures for corruption offenses, as well as priority areas of modern anti-corruption policy.

Special attention was also paid to the role of the compliance system in the activities of the organization, the effective organization of internal control, the early detection and prevention of conflicts of interest, and the current aspects of implementing the requirements of international standards into corporate practice.

During the event, which was held in the form of an open dialogue, an exchange of views took place on issues of preventing corruption, developing a culture of compliance, strengthening the principles of honesty and transparency in business processes, as well as expanding cooperation between the public and private sectors.

At the end of the event, detailed answers were given to the questions raised by the participants.
